Reese Witherspoon In “American Psycho”: Share An Actor And A Film You Truly Always Overlook Their Appearance In
On Wednesday, Variety reported that Austin Butler is expected to star in a New Age adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis’s book, American Psycho, and will be directed by the prolific Luca Guadagnino, who has had a fantastic year with his films Challengers and Queer. The first adaptation of said book was released in 2000 and was an enormous success, with Christian Bale starring as Patrick Bateman, a man who is everything-from Wall Street finance to exercising, maintaining a tidy apartment. . . . and murdering people outside work hours. I’m intrigued, and would remind you by saying that actually, When American Psycho comes to mind, I’m always stunned to remember that Reese Witherspoon played a role in the movie as Patrick’s fiancée. Well, so the announcement of Austin appearing in the remake helped remind me of Reese’s part in the original, bringing back memories of his performance as Austin in Once Upon a Time In. . . Hollywood before he became Elvis.
There are, in fact, many iconic actors that have made their ways into Once Upon a Time In. . . Hollywood-not unlike Margaret Qualley or Lena Dunham, who might have escaped your notice. Also, Sydney Sweeney.
So tell me: Which actor do you often forget is in a movie that you’re not typically associating them with? Maybe one of those examples or Jack Quaid in the Hunger Games saga, one of his early credits.
Or Mahershala Ali in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay–Parts 1 & 2.
