Amy Poehler Talks About “Inside Out,” Explains Why Playing Joy “Really, Essentially Changed” Her Life
Indeed, this year, those fond emotions in Inside Out have kept making their way back into theatres as Inside Out 2, and if I were to boast about my crying habits, then I can confidently say that I cried just as much, if not more, the second time. Back in the amazing line, Amy Poehler brilliantly returned to lend her voice to Joy with both new and returning talents, such as Maya Hawke and Ayo Edebiri. Recently, Amy spoke about her character’s influence on the audience and her self at a charity event focusing on mental health. Amy was at the 12th Annual Bring Change To Mind Revels and Revelations Gala, where she shared with People her experience voicing Joy in both Inside Out movies.
It is accurate that someone will say, “My life has been changed really, really, completely, by Inside Out and Inside Out 2,” Amy quoted, “playing a character like Joy, having these conversations about how emotions affect us, where do they live in us, and the way we experience those emotions.”
She added, “Also, ten years have passed so differently almost from what we need, the different things we need to talk about, and also with whom to talk about them.”
“There are youth tonight,” said Amy, referring to the event, “and I think we can learn a lot from them.”
Amy-an advocate for all follow-up -has contended from the very beginning that conversations on youth mental health deserved to be put on the table. Earlier this year, while talking with The Guardian, she mentioned how they need to be taken seriously in a world that almost would appear to weigh heavily “on their shoulders. ” “In June, she said: Young people are very overlooked, marginalized, and they feel like many times they are out of control of their lives. It really does seem like the world is on their shoulders, but we treat them as if they are silly and foolish, and the things they enjoy are childish and trivial. So: we’re expecting them to solve everything or we’re ridiculing them for not being prepared to do so, for not having been engaged in a war? What are we doing to them? “
No denying that Amy’s authenticity with regard to what young people encounter in life left a significant mark on her impeccable performance in that role as Joy, which can now Inside out of 2 can be a tremendous achievement, as seen through the looking glass.. Most blockbuster tills of the year 2024 to date have the highest gross injection of animated films.
Amy really consistently fights for her work, and I appreciate that.
